	Location – side: Air supply from sidewall, bulkhead or side of duct.
	Mixed flow discharge: High aspiration of individual air streams improves mixing of supply air with room air, reducing air velocities and improving uniform temperature distribution to increase thermal comfort (ADPI ≥ 80%).
	Return air: Suitable for use as a return air inlet, or for combined supply and return air.
	Fixed direction: horizontal discharge.
	VAV dependent throw: VAV turndown to approximately 50% @ ∆Tsupply-room ≈ -10 K, with throw dependent upon airflow rate.

SMARTEMP Bar Aspiration Wall Diffuser BAW-FD

The SMARTEMP Bar Aspiration Wall Diffuser, type BAW-FD, is a removable core bar grille with concealed fixed aspirators that is suitable for flush-mounting to the side of a wall or bulkhead. The diffuser contains a multitude of turbulators concealed behind the visible bars(patents pending). The turbulators discharge supply air in an alternating pattern of horizontal and upwards inclined air-streams, increasing the aspiration of the discharged supply air stream.

Unlike standard side-blow linear bar grilles, which produce broad, low momentum air bundles that mix poorly with room air, the BAW-FD’s higher aspiration discharge increases the induction ratio of the supply air stream, producing a more uniform temperature distribution and reduced draught-risk in the occupancy space.

The BAW-FD is well suited to premium apartments, luxury hotel rooms and high-profile architectural spaces due to the improved levels of comfort it achieves from its ultra-slim profile and aesthetically pleasing design.
