Smartair Diffusion, its associated international SMARTEMP brand, SMARTEMP manufacturing facilities, and the international SMARTEMP sales office in Wiesbaden, Germany, were acquired by Australia's Fusion Group Holdings and affiliates in July 2023. Designed at the Smartair Diffusion R&D centre in Sydney, Australia, SMARTEMP diffusers deliver superior performance for high thermal comfort, enhanced indoor air quality and elevated energy efficiency. The SMARTEMP range spans products for cultural spaces, auditoria, commercial offices, industrial facilities, and more; with solutions for low pressure operation, quiet performance, high induction mixed flow, thermal displacement, and industrial plug-flow. PRODUCT DESIGN

SMARTEMP products are developed in-house in the Smartair Diffusion R&D centre in Sydney, Australia. Design models are created using 3D CAD, complimented by CFD modelling, rapid prototyping and laboratory testing. Many SMARTEMP products are patented or patent pending, including:

• the world's only VAV swirl diffuser with onboard IEQ (room temperature, CO₂+RH or VOC, PIR) and AHU optimisation (fan speed and supply pressure);
• the world's only floor swirl diffuser with user-adjustability of airflow rate, air motion and air direction (this maximises user customisation);
• the world's highest capacity swirl diffuser (motorised discharge direction adjustment makes this suitable for large halls and distribution centres, even where heating is required); and
• a range of high induction, high comfort side-blow diffusers (ideal for hotel rooms, restaurants and offices).

SWIRL DIFFUSERS The SMARTEMP range of high induction air diffusion swirl technology includes ceiling swirl diffusers for low temperature VAV applications, as well as a variety of specialised ceiling and side-blow swirl diffusers for large volume spaces.  The latter includes the world's highest capacity adjustable pattern swirl diffusers. The patented design offers variable air pattern adjustment from horizontal to vertical, providing cost-effective, energy efficient and quiet solutions for high comfort, draught-free applications, such as convention centres, sports arenas, performing arts spaces, TV studios, distribution centres, and similar.  Many of the swirl diffusers offer an option of manual, electric or self-powered thermal actuator discharge direction adjustment. FLOOR SWIRL DIFFUSERS The SMARTEMP range of floor swirl diffusers includes the world's only floor swirl diffuser with user-adjustable airflow rate, direction and pattern. The low profile distribution basket includes the option of motorised VAV operation. The patented design maximises thermal comfort personalisation via user-adjustment of both local airflow rate and local air motion.  "Warm head / cold feet" discomfort at low airflow rates is avoided by maintaining throw to head height of seated occupants regardless of the diffuser airflow rate setting (manual or VAV). DISPLACEMENT DIFFUSERS The SMARTEMP palette includes a range of perforated displacement diffusers, both for commercial and auditorium applications. These, like their floor swirl diffuser counterparts, realise high comfort levels and enhanced indoor air quality to achieve elevated levels of occupant wellbeing. Perforated displacement diffusers include rectangular displacement, drum displacement, wall displacement, step displacement and floor displacement diffusers.
